This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It should be read together with the Ordering & Payment Policy, Shipping & Delivery Policy, Returns & Exchanges Policy, and Terms of Service.

Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.

“Personal Information” means information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to a person or household.

We collect the minimum needed to operate the Site, fulfill orders, and support you:

• Order Information (name, shipping/billing address, email, phone, items purchased, gift messages): process and fulfill orders; customer support; fraud prevention.

• Payment Information (card or wallet details): processed securely by our payment providers to complete your purchase; Quite Cozy does not store full card numbers.

• Account & Communications (account credentials, order history, support messages, marketing opt-ins): manage your account, respond to you, send transactional or marketing communications (you can opt out of marketing anytime).

• Device & Usage Information (IP address, browser, device type, pages viewed, cookie IDs): run the Site, remember cart/session, perform analytics, improve performance and security.

• Fraud-Prevention Signals (e.g., address verification, device risk indicators): protect customers and Quite Cozy.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember cart contents, measure performance, personalize on-site experience, and help prevent fraud. You can manage cookies in your browser settings and (if enabled) through our cookie controls. Blocking some cookies may affect Site functionality.

Global Privacy Control (GPC): Where required by law, we honor browser-based opt-out preference signals such as GPC for “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising. Other “Do Not Track” signals are not recognized at this time.

We use Personal Information to provide the Services (including order processing, shipping, exchanges/returns, and support), communicate with you, improve the Site, personalize your experience, and meet legal obligations.

We share Personal Information only with service providers that help us run the business (for example: Shopify as our ecommerce platform, payment processors, fraud-prevention partners, email/SMS providers, and carriers). They process Personal Information on our behalf under agreements that limit use to our instructions.

We do not share customer mobile phone numbers, SMS consent/opt-in status, or SMS message content with third parties for their own promotional or marketing purposes. Mobile opt-in information is never sold, shared, or transferred outside of our service providers that help us deliver text messages on our behalf. Any information sharing described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy excludes mobile opt-in data.

Quite Cozy operates on the Shopify platform. Shopify and our payment providers (e.g., Shop Pay/Shopify Payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, PayPal) process Personal Information to complete your orders and operate the Services. Some Shopify “enhanced services” may involve Shopify acting as an independent business/controller for its own purposes (for example, network-level security/analytics or Shopify’s own advertising). Shopify also helps us prevent fraud and processes customer Personal Information on our behalf as a service provider.

Our Site may link to websites or services we don’t control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We aren’t responsible for the privacy or security of third-party sites or services.

• Access, Correction, Deletion: Request access to Personal Information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or request deletion (subject to lawful exceptions).

• Marketing Choices: Unsubscribe from marketing emails via any message; for SMS, reply STOP. We still send transactional/order messages.

• Cookies & Analytics: Manage via your browser and our cookie controls (if available).

• Sale/Sharing/Targeted Ads: At this time, Quite Cozy does not sell or share Personal Information as defined by state privacy laws, and we do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising that requires an opt-out. If that changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide a method to opt out, including honoring GPC where required.

Where allowed, you may use an authorized agent; we may require proof of authorization and additional verification. If we deny your request, you may have the right to appeal by replying to our decision or contacting Legal@QuiteCozy.com.

By providing your mobile number and agreeing to receive texts, you consent to receiving text messages from Quite Cozy about account notifications, customer care, and delivery updates. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message & data rates may apply.

Mobile opt-in information is never shared with third parties for their own marketing.

Depending on your state, you may have rights to know/access, delete, correct, data portability, and opt out of sale/sharing/targeted advertising, plus the use of certain sensitive data. We honor applicable state privacy rights and will not discriminate against you for exercising them. You may use browser-based opt-out signals (such as GPC) where recognized by law. If we decline a rights request, you may have the right to appeal; instructions will be provided in our response.

If you reside in Canada, you have rights to access and correct Personal Information we hold about you, and to withdraw consent to certain processing (subject to legal/contractual restrictions). Some processing occurs in the United States; see International Transfers.

We process Personal Information in the United States and may transfer information to service providers in other countries. When we transfer information, we take reasonable steps to protect it in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law. (For data transfers subject to the EU/UK/Swiss regimes, Shopify’s DPA includes appropriate transfer mechanisms.)

We retain Personal Information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including fulfilling orders, managing accounts, supporting returns & exchanges, preventing fraud, and meeting tax/accounting/legal requirements. As a general guideline, order and tax records are often retained up to 7 years. We follow a documented retention schedule and delete or anonymize Personal Information when it is no longer needed for these purposes.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Information. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information to us, contact Support@QuiteCozy.com and we will delete it.

We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we do, we will: (1) post the updated Privacy Policy on our Site, (2) update the Revision Date at the top, and (3) provide additional notice if required by law (for example, an on-site notice or email). Unless we state otherwise or applicable law requires a different effective date, amendments take effect when posted. Your continued use of the Services after an amendment becomes effective constitutes acceptance.

For policies that govern orders (the Ordering & Payment Policy, Shipping & Delivery Policy, and Returns & Exchanges Policy), if an amendment would materially affect an existing order, we will apply the version in effect when you placed your order, unless the change benefits you or we are required by law to apply the new version.
